I founded Abbondandolo Wealth Management because I wanted the people in my community to have prudent and unbiased financial advice. My team and I specialize in helping business owners, executives, and independent professionals protect their financial lives and grow their wealth. What makes us different is that we want to serve as your personal Chief Financial Officer. We offer holistic financial care that helps you run the numbers on your financial goals and puts you on the path to achieving them. We also help you keep more of your time by coordinating every aspect of your financial life.

I enjoy the intellectual challenge of helping my clients develop strategies to pursue their goals. Helping people put their financial lives in order also gives me a feeling of personal satisfaction. I still continuously update my skills and knowledge to better help my clients navigate their personal financial challenges.

I received my B.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Taxation from Long Island University and am licensed as a CPA in New York. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and New York State Society of CPAs.

To improve my skills as an asset manager, I received the Certified Investment Management Analyst® CIMA® certification. The CIMA® certification is awarded to professionals who have met extensive experience and ethical requirements and have successfully completed advanced investment management consulting coursework at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. Only 3 percent of US financial advisors hold CIMA® certification.

In order to serve our high net worth clients, I received the Certified Private Wealth Advisor designation CPWA®. The CPWA designation signifies that an individual has met initial and on-going experience, ethical, education, and examination requirements for the professional designation, which is centered on private wealth management topics and strategies for high net worth clients. CPWA® designees have completed a rigorous educational process that includes an in-class education component at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and successful completion of a comprehensive examination.

I also hold the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential. It is the only financial planning credential that requires a CPA license and is only granted to those CPAs who have specialized financial planning education, years of real-world experience, and who pass a rigorous exam.

In addition, I also hold the Retirement Management Advisor (RMA) designation which signifies that an individual has met initial and on-going experience, ethical, education, and examination requirements for the professional designation, which is centered on retirement management topics and strategies. RMA designees have completed a rigorous educational process that includes an online course, in person educational Capstone and successful completion of a comprehensive examination.

Why are these credentials important? They represent years of professional experience, rigorous study, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. I also enjoyed using my knowledge to help future financial professionals improve their skills. I was a faculty member at Queens College from 2009-2014, in the Department of Accounting & Information Systems. I taught courses in Taxation at both the graduate and undergraduate level.
